Peer Leadership Program

Peer Leaders are second or third year Program for Advising in Scholarship and Service (PASS) Scholars who serve as positive peer role models for first-year students. Together with DSO's academic advisors, the Peer Leaders seek to engage and support new scholars in academic achievement, co-curricular involvement, and leadership.

This unique team of peer and professional leadership provides new students with the opportunity to enrich their Ohio State experience in a supportive environment.

Peer Leader Program Application

"A good leader inspires others with confidence in him; a great leader inspires them with confidence in themselves." - UNKNOWN

Our goals for Peer Leaders are...

  • to develop a college-based mentoring experience among first-year PASS Scholars;
  • to encourage PASS Scholars to engage in leadership, academic, and service opportunities;
  • to help PASS Scholars identify with their college, academic department and Academic Advisor;
  • to provide the kind of support to PASS Scholars that will strengthen their ties to university resources and contribute to their success and graduation.
